Water Color Sea Animal's

For this project, we created an underwater sea scene using watercolor, saran wrap, salt, and crayons. We started by practicing on a piece of paper with different techniques. Those were wet on wet, salt, crayons, and saran wrap. We also practiced drawing our sea animals. Then we moved onto the final project. We used those techniques to create our own ocean scene, using the dry materials first and then moving onto the wet.

For an extension activity, students could use the same topic and create one big long poster. Each student could choose a couple animals to draw, and they could work together to create a whole sea of animals. It would look at the whole ocean on one big piece of paper. Each student would use three different techniques to add more dimension to the picture.
